Our Take
The SE Custom 24 has earned its reputation as a seriously versatile workhorse. They've become known for comfort, playability and the ability to cover a lot of musical ground with one guitar.
The Wide Thin neck and 24-fret layout give it a fast, comfortable feel without pushing into an extreme shred-style neck. The 85/15 "S" humbuckers have enough power and definition for driven rock tones, while the coil split gives you genuinely useful brighter sounds for cleans, funk and lighter styles.
That's really where the Custom 24 shines. You don't have to decide whether you want a rock guitar, a clean guitar or something for everything in between. Add the PRS tremolo, beautiful flame maple veneer and signature bird inlays, and you're getting many of the features and design cues that make a PRS a PRS at a much more accessible price.
