The Custom 24 with Even More Sounds to Explore
The PRS SE Custom 24-08 takes the iconic Custom 24 platform and gives you considerably more control over its sound. Two TCI “S” humbuckers can be individually coil-tapped, creating eight pickup configurations that move easily between full humbucker power, clear single-coil tones and combinations of the two.
Underneath that expanded switching is the familiar Custom 24 recipe: maple over mahogany, a Wide Thin maple neck, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, 25" scale and PRS-patented tremolo.

Our Take
If you love the Custom 24 and want complete control over your pickup sounds, check out the SE Custom 24-08. The two mini toggles are what make the 24-08 special. Rather than simply splitting both humbuckers together, you can control each TCI “S” pickup independently. That means you can run two humbuckers, two single coils, or mix a humbucker with a single coil in either direction. The result is eight genuinely useful pickup configurations, not a collection of novelty sounds. Independent testing has particularly praised the sweeter single-coil tones and intuitive switching.
Importantly, it still feels like a Custom 24. You get the Wide Thin neck, 24 frets, 25" scale and PRS tremolo, so it's comfortable, responsive and equally at home with clean playing, blues, rock and higher-gain sounds.
