The updated Roland TD-07DMK2 V-Drums Kit delivers an excellent balance of playability, features and value for beginners, dedicated students and returning drummers. As part of the refreshed TD-07 Series, it combines upgraded pads, enhanced practice tools, and improved hardware for a more expressive, rewarding drumming experience.
The TD-07DMK2 is the most affordable model in the series, featuring a compact five-piece configuration that's ideal for smaller spaces. A simplified setup gets you playing sooner, while an included additional cymbal mounting rod makes it easy to expand your kit with a second crash cymbal later.
The Roland TD-07DMK2 brings some worthwhile upgrades to the most affordable kit in the TD-07 Series. The larger 10-inch snare and 8-inch tom pads, inherited from Roland's V-Drums 3 Series, give you more playing surface, making the kit feel more comfortable and natural as your technique develops.
The dedicated KD-10 kick pad is another significant improvement. Unlike the original TD-07DMK's compact, rack-mounted kick trigger, the standalone KD-10 offers a more substantial setup with your own kick pedal. It's a particularly welcome upgrade for drummers developing their foot technique and getting accustomed to the feel of an acoustic kit.
Despite the larger pads and upgraded kick, the TD-07DMK2 keeps a compact footprint that suits bedrooms, apartments, and smaller practice spaces. The TD-07 module offers plenty of sounds to explore, while Bluetooth audio, built-in coaching tools and an advanced metronome make practising more engaging and productive.
For beginners, dedicated students, and returning drummers, the TD-07DMK2 strikes an excellent balance of affordability, playing comfort, and room to develop. It even includes an additional cymbal mounting rod, ready for a second crash when you want to expand.
More room to play, a proper kick setup and the features to keep improving - we approve!
