The BOSS CB-EB15 is a premium gig bag for bassists who regularly take their instrument to rehearsals, lessons and gigs. It combines substantial 30mm internal padding with adjustable support around the neck and lower bout, giving your bass far more protection than a standard lightweight gig bag without the bulk of a hard case.
Inside, two detachable neck rests secure the instrument in position, while an adjustable cushioned end guard supports different bass lengths and protects the lower strap button. Add a soft fleece lining, rugged 600D polyester exterior and generous accessory storage, and you've got a practical everyday case built for working musicians.
If you're carrying a good bass to rehearsals and gigs every week, this is the level of gig bag we'd recommend. You get 30mm of padding, but more importantly, BOSS has thought about how the instrument is actually held inside the case. Two adjustable neck supports secure the neck, while the movable bottom cushion supports the body and protects the strap button. These are the areas that need proper support when a bass is being transported.
The storage is excellent, there's enough room for cables, strings, tuner and other essentials, plus space for a compact multi-effects unit. Put the bag on your back, and you can realistically carry your bass and much of your basic rig in one trip.
At 2.2kg, it also makes a strong case against hauling a hard case everywhere. You still get substantial everyday protection, but it's much easier to carry to lessons, rehearsals, church or a gig.
The CB-EB15 is brand new for 2026, so there isn't enough genuine long-term owner feedback yet for us to claim a review consensus. On specification, though, the combination of 30mm padding, adjustable internal support, proper storage and backpack portability makes this a strong upgrade from the basic bag supplied with many basses.
