Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Customers are responsible for confirming the suitability of the product before completing a purchase.

Change of Mind Returns
Please choose carefully when purchasing musical instruments and equipment.
Mall Music provides demonstrations and advice where possible to assist customers in selecting the correct product.
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind once a product has been opened, used, installed, assembled, or removed from its original packaging, unless the item is faulty under Australian Consumer Law.
Musical instruments and electronic equipment cannot be resold as new once opened.
For this reason, change-of-mind returns cannot be accepted after the product has been unboxed.
Inspection vs Usage
Customers are welcome to inspect products upon delivery.
However, once a product has been:
- Assembled
- Installed
- Registered
- Tuned or configured
- Used beyond basic inspection
The product is considered used and cannot be returned unless faulty.
Performance and Professional Use
Products used in live performances, rehearsals, recording sessions, public events, or professional environments are considered in-use products.
Products used in this way cannot be returned for change of mind.
Customers are encouraged to confirm product suitability before using equipment in professional or performance environments.
Returns for Faulty Products
Products may be returned if:
- The item is faulty
- The item does not match the description
- The incorrect product was supplied
Returned products must include:
- Proof of purchase
- Original packaging where possible
- All included accessories.
If a product is faulty, it may be:
- Repaired
- Replaced
- Refunded
In accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and copyright reasons, the following items cannot be returned unless faulty:
- sheet music
- books
- CDs or DVDs
- reeds
- mouthpieces
- harmonicas
- instruments played by mouth
- opened consumables such as strings or cleaning products.
Special Orders
Products ordered specifically for a customer that Mall Music does not normally stock are considered special order items.
Special order products cannot be cancelled or returned for change of mind once the order has been placed with our supplier.
Deposits paid for special orders are non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
Shipping and Delivery
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on courier services and destination.
Mall Music is not responsible for delays caused by:
- Courier services
- Weather events
- Supplier delays
- Circumstances outside our control.
Customers must inspect goods upon delivery and notify Mall Music of any shipping damage within 48 hours.
Failure to report shipping damage within this timeframe may affect the ability to lodge a freight claim.
Promotions and Discounts
Mall Music may offer promotions and discounts from time to time.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Promotions cannot be combined with other offers.
