Our Take
A trombone is definitely not an instrument you want leaning or laying between songs. A good stand is a small investment that makes rehearsals, lessons and gigs much easier.
We really like the HERCULES design because the EZ Top Bracket actually supports the trombone at the slide braces, giving the instrument a secure place to rest.
It's also solid without being cumbersome. At 1.6kg it has enough weight to feel reassuring on the floor, but folds down neatly when it's time to pack up.
For school band, rehearsals, home practice or regular gigging, the DS520B is an easy stand for us to recommend — particularly if you've invested in a good trombone and want somewhere safe to put it.
