Have you ever dreamed of playing in a band? Or maybe you want to get back on stage? Rock Trip is for anyone 18+ who wants to live their dream of playing live on stage! In this six-week program, you'll be placed into groups based on your skill level, instrument, and goals — then coached weekly as you rehearse a killer setlist, culminating in a live gig at Bucketty’s Brewery in Brookvale.
Next Rock Trip Program dates: 3 November - 7 December 2025
Join us at our kickoff session where you'll meet other participants and test out group combos with guidance from your coach.
No dark, dusty jam rooms here. Each week, your band will rehearse on the actual stage at Bucketty’s Brewing Co., with access to professional gear and coaching — all while the venue is closed to the public.
You'll get the rare experience of rehearsing in a real performance environment, complete with lights, sound, and a bar on standby (yes, it’s open for Rock Trippers). Your coach will guide the group through song selection, arrangement tweaks, and how to lock in your groove as a band.
By the time gig night rolls around, the only thing new will be the crowd.
It all leads to a final performance at Bucketty’s — a welcoming venue where friends, family, and beer all come together. You’ll walk away with pro photos, video footage, and a memories that'll last a lifetime.

Still unsure? Come to the audition, and we'll guide you!
We welcome musicians aged 18 and over. While you don't need to be a pro, you should be proficient enough to contribute meaningfully to a band setting. Whether you're flying solo or
joining with friends, this program has a place for you. We welcome vocalists, drummers, guitarists, bass players, keyboardists, brass players, and more.
Absolutely! You'll each need to register individually, but let us know if you want to play in the same group together and we'll make it happen.
The commitment mirrors that of any band preparing for a live gig, so be ready to bring your A-game! Once you're placed in a band after the Audition, you'll come together once a week at Bucketty's for a 2 hour coaching session before the final live performance at Bucketty's.

Week 2: Song selections, run-through and initial evaluation
Week 3: Groove building and arrangement tweaks
Week 4: Performance tips and personalised coaching
Week 5: Dress rehearsal of set in live performance conditions

venture—it's about delivering an unforgettable experience for musicians like you. Once your band is confirmed, the fee is non-refundable.
Whether you've been on stage before or playing live for the first time, you'll be grouped with like-minded musicians for the best possible outcome!
