Designed in Germany by Ortega's family-owned workshop, the Horizon Series reimagines the ukulele with refined tonewoods, premium hardware, and contemporary design touches — all while keeping the feel approachable and fun for players of every level.
The walnut top, back, and sides paired with an okoume neck deliver a balanced sound rich in clarity, depth, and mid-range presence. The Tecwood fretboard and bridge offer a smooth, durable alternative to rosewood with a clean, modern look. The open-pore satin finish brings out the natural wood grain for a warm, organic aesthetic that's instantly photogenic.
The Horizon Series' boldest feature is its reverse 4-in-line headstock — a striking design choice not found on any other ukulele. Finished with gold die-cast tuners and black buttons, this headstock not only looks unique but ensures straight string alignment from the nut for improved tuning stability.
With a 376 mm (14.8") scale and a 68 mm deep body, the Horizon delivers crisp articulation with full tonal development — perfect for strumming, fingerpicking, recording, or performing. It comes strung with Aquila-made white nylon strings (Made in Italy), offering warmth, punch, and classic ukulele brightness in G–C–E–A tuning.
