The GV Gloxy 5 features the same neck characteristics as the premium JP Series, offering excellent playability, a comfortable C-profile hard maple neck, accurate string balance and no unwanted boominess even across the low B. The lightweight body (alder or basswood) is paired with a maple fingerboard, complete with block inlays and binding for a clean, classic look.
Electronics are powered by the Markbass JJ-style pickups and the acclaimed MB Instrument Pre — the exact same preamp used in Markbass’ high-end instruments. Active/passive switching is smooth, with virtually no volume drop between modes. The bass is supplied with the MB Universal Bass Gig Bag, making it ready for studio, rehearsal or stage use.
