Our Take

Your guitar deserves better than being wiped down with the corner of your T-shirt.

Between fingerprints, sweaty forearms and whatever mysterious substance has appeared near the volume knob, even a beautiful guitar can start looking a little worse for wear.

Ernie Ball Instrument Polish is a great little addition to your guitar maintenance kit. It helps remove that dull haze and annoying streaks, bringing back the shine without turning guitar cleaning into a major project.

We'd recommend keeping a bottle handy for regular guitar maintenance, particularly if you've got a glossy finish that shows every fingerprint.

Because relic finishes are one thing. Actual filth is another.

Finish Compatibility & Care

Ernie Ball recommends testing the polish on an inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire instrument, particularly with nitrocellulose and other specialist finishes.

For finished or lacquered fretboards, use only a cleaner confirmed suitable for the specific finish. This polish should not be assumed compatible without checking.

Important: Always test on a small, hidden area first. Do not use on unfinished wood, and check the manufacturer's care recommendations before polishing satin, matt or delicate vintage finishes.
