Our Take
There's nothing quite like a 12-string acoustic. The doubled strings give even simple open chords a wide, shimmering sound that works beautifully for strumming, singer-songwriter accompaniment and adding texture to recordings.
The AD810-12OP makes that sound particularly accessible. Cort has kept the specification straighforward and time-tested — a dreadnought body, spruce top and mahogany back and sides — giving you the fundamentals you want from a 12-string without pushing the price unnecessarily high.
We'd particularly recommend it as a second acoustic guitar for someone who already owns a standard six-string and wants another sound to reach for. You play it much like the guitar you already know, but the result is immediately different.
For anyone who's wanted to add that big, unmistakable 12-string sound to their collection without spending a fortune, the AD810-12OP is an easy place to start.
